Our courses have been designed to help you qualify as a professional interior designer without having to give up your day job. We offer entry-level interior design courses, Diplomas Bachelor’s degrees and Master’s degrees.
Interior Design Diploma Courses
With no entry requirements, our Diploma courses are suitable for beginners but you’ll learn everything you need to start your own interior design business or embark on a new career in this exciting industry.

Entry Requirements
No previous qualifications required, just an interest & enthusiasm for your chosen subject.
Course Duration
Online: 9-12 months (flexible)
In-Studio: 10 days in studio – 10 weeks at home - total 12 weeks
Assessment
No exams — Tutor assessment only, portfolio moderation by AIM Awards.
Accreditation
All NDA Professional Diplomas are accredited by AIM Awards. NDA is the only design school to be able to offer funding & student loans because our Diplomas are fully accredited.
Interior Design Degree Courses
Start Date
Enrol at any time & choose your start date.
No term times or semesters. Complete each module at your own pace.
You can also use up to 8 weeks holiday each year.
Entry Requirements
NDA or L3 Diploma. City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC in a Design subject or equivalent.
A Level in Art and/or Design.
Art & Design Foundation Year (university or college).
International equivalent qualification.
Course Duration
Study full time for three years or take up to 8 years part-time for a degree or 5 years for the Master's degree.
Already have an HND or Foundation in a related subject such as Architecture? You could qualify to study one of our Final Year Top-Up degrees. Visit our Course page for more information.
Assessment
You will not have to take an exam! Your tutor will assess your design projects throughout the course and your portfolio is moderated by De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) who will award your degree.
All projects are submitted online via our Virtual Learning Studio.
Accreditation
The National Design Academy have joined in partnership with DMU to deliver industry-leading interior design courses. You get full access to DMU resources, including student discounts and learning resources, as well as attending the DMU Leicester Graduation Ceremony when you complete your course.
