Importance of Accreditation

All courses by the NDA are accredited. Here’s why it’s important.

Recognised Qualifications

At the National Design Academy, we always emphasise the importance of gaining a fully accredited qualification; after all, who wants to spend years studying just to discover that their course isn’t recognised by the design industry?

This is why all of our Diploma level courses are accredited by AIM Qualifications and all of our Degree qualifications are awarded by our academic partner, De Montfort University Leicester (DMU).

This means that any qualification gained at the National Design Academy will be nationally and internationally recognised. Great news!

AIM Qualifications

All NDA Diplomas are accredited by AIM Qualifications

You will receive the AIM Qualifications Diploma in Professional Interior Design. It is really important that your Interior Design Diploma is a registered qualification and accredited by an approved awarding body if you intend to start your own business, a new career or to progress onto a Degree. Accreditation is your only guarantee that our quality and teaching standards are inspected and regulated.

NDA offers the only online Professional Interior Design Diploma course accredited in the UK.

To be accredited a Diploma course must have an OFQUAL number so you can check it on the OFQUAL register. You can find the NDA Diploma details below:

Professional Interior Design – 610/106/86

Professional Garden Design – 600/5882/1

Professional Soft Furnishings & Curtain Making – 600/3506/7

The NDA has a vocational education license to teach in the UAE.

In order to teach professional courses in the UAE the institute must have a Vocational Education License (TVET License). Please check with KHDA before you start any professional qualification that the institute has a TVET license.

In order to work legally in the UAE and in many parts of the world you must have a level 3 qualification which is the equivalent of an A-Level.

You must also have a level 3 Diploma to go onto study a Bachelor’s Degree at level 4, 5 and 6.

DMU origins begin with Art & Design, so we couldn’t think of a better fit. The extensive arts department will offer a brilliant backing to the expert tuition of National Design Academy tutors. DMU is internationally recognised as a university ranked Gold under the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

All National Design Academy degrees are awarded through De Montfort University. You will receive the same degree certificates that are issued to students studying ‘on-campus’ at the University, they do not refer to Online Study.

Through our partnership with DMU, our degree students are also entitled to benefits such as NUS Cards, free access to AutoCAD software and also use of the DMU library services and any other library under the SCONUL access scheme, either by post or online.

Quality

Our quality is assured through DMU and AIM Qualifications and in our own right as a Direct Claims Approved Centre, we have provision regulated through the Office for Students, UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) registration and Matrix quality for further education.
