Creatively Different Blinds: The winners are announced!

The Creatively Different Blinds competition winners have been decided.

The aim of the competition was for entrants to produce an original room set design that incorporates a blind from the Creatively Different Blinds product range or alternatively to produce an original design themselves. All entries were collated and judged by the National Design Academy’s Director of Studies; Anthony Rayworth, Alistair Archer, Managing Director of Creatively Different Blinds and Interior Design Tutor Sarah Jane Lockett.

Each submission was judged on the overall design, as well as the rationale behind the design.  The two winners that have been selected are Jesna Jacob and Christine Raouf Ghobrial.

The winner of the Domestic Room Set goes to Jesna Jacob for her collaborative use of rich colours, soft furnishings and accessories to compliment the ‘peacock drinking from water design’ for her blind that emphasises the colour scheme allowing natural sunlight to flow through.

Prize: £500

The winner of the best blind design goes to Christine Raouf Ghobrial for her fretwork designed blind, which has been  inspired by old Egyptian windows referred to as “Mashrabiya” that allows natural light to flood through into a space, creating distinctive patterns.

Prize: Royalty payments will be made based on purchases over the next three years.

From everyone here at the NDA, well done to you both and a big thank you to all the entries submitted for this competition.

Congratulations.
