Teaching and Learning

All Diploma and Degree Courses at the National Design Academy are offered as online distance learning courses. This means that all interactive course content can be accessed online via our bespoke Virtual learning Studio (VLS) platform, where International students can also chat to other International students on our lively VLS forum and contact their personal tutor whenever they wish.

Student Support

30 years providing distance learning courses for interior design and other design related subjects, taught us that every student is different and that every student needs individual support.

Often juggling family commitments, full-time or part-time work, adult students have to overcome many extra challenges before they can study.

TUTORS

You will be allocated your own personal tutor, who will assess your assignments and provide you with helpful feedback throughout your course. You can contact your tutor directly at any time via VLS mail. Individual tutorials with your tutor can be arranged by appointment, either face to face or by telephone or Skype. We also have a lively student forum – so you never need to feel alone out of office hours. If you want help and need to speak to a tutor urgently, you’ll be actively encouraged to call our student helpline. Our experienced tutors will be on hand to advise you on any element of your course. 9am–5pm, 5 days per week.

INDIVIDUAL LEARNING NEEDS

Some students may have an individual learning need or disability requiring extra support or consideration. Our student support team can help to arrange assessments and will arrange an individual learning plan to suit your needs if required.
