Workshop: The Influence of History on Interior Design

This Workshop begins with a discussion about how different social classes lived throughout history and how they impacted upon both the built environment and the layout of the contemporary domestic interior.

An examination of the development of interior styles such as Regency or Victorian will provide you with the knowledge to use furniture, wall coverings and textiles appropriately within an Interior Design scheme.

Using a specific example you will examine how to design using inspiration from a historical period and how to effectively source relevant suppliers.
